Lyreco modernizes logistics center in Villaines-la-Juhel with Exotec robotics

Lyreco, a global workplace solution provider, has completed the comprehensive modernization of its strategic logistics center in Villaines-la-Juhel. The location in north-western France handles 60% of the company’s daily shipping volume in the country – this corresponds to around 30,000 out of a total of 50,000 parcels. As part of the project, which started in 2021, a new, 3,000 m² building was built and a state-of-the-art robot-based solution from the French automation specialist Exotec was integrated.

The heart is at the heart of over 100 SkyPod robots and advanced algorithms for sorting and pallet construction. The system optimizes the preparation of large pallets and the sequencing of outgoing currents. In addition to increased productivity and quality of service, the focus was on ergonomics: new palletizing stations offer the teams a safer and more efficient working environment, while the operational excellence of the site is sustainably strengthened.
